Curious about scuba diving but not ready for a full certification course? The PADI Discover Scuba Diving (DSD) experience in Halkidiki is exactly what you need. Based at Metamorfosi Beach in Sithonia, our PADI professionals guide you through a short safety briefing on land, a shallow water practice session, and then a beautiful supervised dive in the crystal-clear waters of the Aegean Sea. No experience required — just curiosity and a sense of adventure. You will be under the direct, constant supervision of an elite PADI professional at all times. Start in waist-deep water where you can simply stand up if you feel uncomfortable.

Is Scuba Diving Safe for Beginners?

Do I need to be a strong swimmer?

You only need to be comfortable in the water. You don't need to be an Olympic swimmer to enjoy your first try dive!

What if I panic underwater?

That's exactly why we practice in very shallow water first. Your instructor will be right by your side the entire time, holding your hand if needed, to ensure you feel 100% safe.

What should I bring?

Just your swimsuit, a towel, and some sunscreen. We provide all the professional scuba diving equipment!

How long does the experience take?

The total experience takes approximately 2 hours — including your safety briefing on land, a shallow water practice session, and your open water dive along the reefs of Sithonia.

Is all diving equipment included in the price?

Yes, 100%! The €70 price includes everything: mask, fins, wetsuit, BCD, regulator, and tank. Just bring your swimsuit, a towel, and sunscreen — we handle the rest.

What is the minimum age to try scuba diving?

The minimum age for the Discover Scuba Diving (DSD) program is 10 years old. Children aged 8 and older can join our special PADI Bubblemaker program in safe, shallow water up to 2 meters deep.
